We have a easy to use label printing program and a helpful handbook on the necessary safety requirements etc.

We are a friendly and supportive community and we will help you get started.

Southwell Country Market has been providing locally produced goods for almost 50 years in our area.

We are a social community “not for profit” enterprise. Anyone aged 16 and over can join for a very small sum and sell their homemade goods; fully insured. You only pay commission on the actual goods you sell each week. No table fees, no entry fee just good honest local fair.

We can advise you on the food safety, labelling and packaging requirements.

Everything we sell at the Country Market is produced locally by people who live and work within a 20 mile radius of Southwell!
Our producers cook, grow and craft what they sell themselves. There are no factories, no mass production and no long supply chains.

That means:

Fresh seasonal food made or grown nearby

Much lower food miles, helping the environment

Our annual mid winter closure is coming to an end.

SOUTHWELL COUNTRY MARKET RE-OPENS THIS COMING SATURDAY 31ST JANUARY FROM 0900 TO 1100.

For those not familiar with the market , we are the covered market held each Saturday morning in the WI Hall in Sheppards Row. So come rain or shine we always open.

Everything we sell is produced, crafted , baked, cooked or grown by our members, who all live in the local area.

Once again, we re-open this Saturday from 0900 to 1100.

We look forward to seeing you all again.

We hope that all our customers have had a great Christmas and New Year!
As you will know we do not open again until the end of the month
to give us time to recharge our batteries, have a rest and prepare for our reopening.
However, for some of us things do not stop. Whether it be making new season marmalade, or looking after our bees and hens, or tending our winter crops, and many other things work goes on behind the scenes.

DONT FORGET! WE REOPEN ON SATURDAY 31ST JANUARY 2026 , 0900 TO 1100.
