Many thanks to Andy Lloyd from Island Truffles and Treats of Filey for standing in at the last minute after our booked speaker was unable to attend. Andy made a chocolate cake and delicious truffles🍫💝 and entertained us with hilarious stories 😊🤣. We will certainly book him again.

Some of our members had a visit to Southwell Workhouse and Infirmary today. It was a very hot day, but the history of the Workhouse became a sitting down tour instead of a walking tour for which we were thankful 😌. Very interesting to hear the history and look round the building.

Had a stall today selling cakes 🍰 and crafts ✂️ at Anston Cricket Club Fun Day. Thanks to everyone who helped out. 🌻🤗

After our discussion and voting on the NFWI Resolutions we had a fun evening making bookmarks with dried flowers. Lots of laughing. Good social time. Looking forward to our June meeting ; all about detectorists.

Here is the programme for our meetings until March 2027. The first three visits are free. Our meetings are at Anston Parish Hall at 7.30 pm. We would be happy to welcome you. We have a couple of meals out booked as well as a visit to Southwell Workhouse. Look forward to seeing you. 😊

The Anston WI ukelele band.🤩. A really fun evening learning the ukelele with Amanda and Lydia from the Dukeries Ukeries. Many thanks to them. Amazing 🤩 how much we learned in an hour. We learned how to strum and pluck and to sing along. 🎼🤗. A few laughs along the way 😁
