🌟Southport FC Girls Teams – Now Recruiting! 🌟

We’re building something special for our youngest players!

Southport FC are looking for girls in School Years 1–4 to join our new girls teams.

What we offer:
• 2 training sessions per week (Wednesday evenings + FREE Wildcats session on Saturday mornings)
• Matches every Sunday morning in the Hightown League (Girls Only)
• Official Southport FC matchday & training kits provided
• Training on private pitches
• All abilities welcome!

We already have successful Southport FC girls teams across multiple age groups – now it’s time for the youngest to shine and represent their hometown club! ⚽

A huge well done to Rosa Kavanagh, who was recognised yesterday as our Community Champion for her amazing support with the Wildcats programme for Southport Football Club

Rosa is a brilliant role model — she helps girls who are trying football for the first time, supports those who may feel nervous, and makes sure everyone settles in with confidence and a smile. Over the past 12 months, she has helped so many young players feel welcome and part of our football family.

Well done, Rosa — we’re all so proud of you.

Wow. What a day for our U8s Southport FC Girls.

These girls showed everyone exactly what is all about — heart, teamwork, friendship and smiles from start to finish.

With the incredible support of Hopes Help, the atmosphere was unreal. The togetherness on and off the pitch is what makes this group so special.

Any ability welcome. Fun, confidence and community at the centre of everything we do.

Saturday was everything we love about girls’ football. Our U8s and U10s girls teams welcomed teams from across the area for the Charity Cup at and the atmosphere was incredible.

The pitches were full of girls playing with freedom, friendship and confidence. A real reminder of how far the girls’ game has come in our town.

And to finish the day, both teams lifted the Europa League Cups in their age groups.

So many of these girls have attended our wildcats sessions. Get in touch if you would like to join the fun ⚽️

⚽ Huge Congratulations to Our U8s Girls! 💛🖤

A massive well done to both of our U8s teams, who reached the cup final together. It’s never easy playing against your friends, but every single girl was magnificent and showed exactly what Southport FC Girls is all about — friendship, respect, teamwork and having fun.

After a brilliant game that finished 1–1 at full time, the match went to penalties, with the U8s edging it in sudden death. A dramatic finish and a performance to be proud of from both sides.

This is their first ever season together, and the progress, confidence and joy they’ve shown has been incredible. The future of Southport girls’ football is bright.

We’re now recruiting for next season’s teams.

Brilliant morning with our Wildcats! 💛⚽

A smaller group today, but the energy was still sky‑high and the girls had an amazing time playing football together.

We worked on reaction drills to warm up, followed by dribbling and turning techniques, and then moved into 1v1 duels — first facing the goal, then receiving with their back to goal. The girls finished by taking all those new skills into a fun, competitive game at the end.

If your daughter wants to join the fun and get involved in our Wildcats sessions, get in touch. We’d love to welcome her into the group.

Congratulations to the U8s Yellows who won their league at Hightown yesterday.

The girls have done brilliantly, guided by their amazing coaches.

Many of these girls attend our Wildcats sessions every Saturday and the hard work is paying off.
