Fermor Lodge 1313 Represents Southport Group at Historic London Gathering
On a day where the weather matched the warmth of the fraternity, three brethren from Fermor Lodge No. 1313 traveled to Great Queen Street to represent the Southport Group at the highly anticipated Light Blues Communication
Held at the iconic Freemasons’ Hall, W.Bro Vic Foulds, Bro Neil Walsh, and Bro Callum Clark joined over 1,200 Masons from across the country and overseas for a spectacular celebration of the Craft's future.
The atmosphere inside the Grand Temple was electric. In a powerful demonstration of modern Freemasonry’s inclusivity and broad appeal, the meeting welcomed special delegations from the Grand Lodge of Scotland and Women’s Freemasonry.
Led by the Pro Grand Master, Jonathan Spence, and his grand officers, the meeting was impeccably hosted by Lodge Sine Nomine No. 10000.
The highlights of the communication included:
Inspiring presentations from newer initiates and members detailing their paths through the Craft.
Deep dives into how Freemasonry continues to support incredible causes, featuring a special spotlight on the fantastic work of the Masonic Fishing Charity.
Following the closing of the lodge, the brethren cooled down from the summer heat with a refreshing, afternoon tea-style lunch—complemented, naturally, by a cheeky pint.
The excitement didn't end at the festive board. Refueled and eager for more, Brothers Walsh and Clark headed back into the majestic Grand Temple. There, they secured seats to watch a live recording of the immensely popular Craftcast podcast, getting a behind-the-scenes look at the voices shaping modern Masonic conversation.
For Brothers Walsh and Clark, this trip marked their very first time stepping inside the headquarters of the United Grand Lodge of England marvelling at the stunning Art Deco architecture and the sheer scale of the event, both agreed on one thing, it certainly won’t be their last.
Fermor Lodge 1313 continues to stand tall, ensuring that the Southport Group's light shines brightly on the national stage!
