π₯ Fire Safety Training. Informative, Practical & Fun!π§―
A big thank you to Target Fire Protection Ltd and Kyle for delivering such an informative and enjoyable fire extinguisher practical training session for our staff.
Our team now has hands-on experience in how to use a fire extinguisher safely, as well as a better understanding of the different types of fires and which extinguishers are appropriate for each one. It was great to combine some practical learning with a bit of funβ¦although, of course, the reason behind the training is a very serious one.
π₯ Fire isn't always fun, and being prepared can make a huge difference.
So, as a little reminder to our staff, colleagues and wider community, why not take a few minutes to check your own fire safety arrangements?
π’ At work:
β’ Do you know where your nearest fire extinguishers are?
β’ Do you know what type of fire each extinguisher is designed for?
β’ Are your fire alarms, smoke detectors and other safety equipment working and up to date?
β’ Are your fire drills and emergency procedures regularly reviewed and practised?
β’ Do you know what to do and where to go if there is a fire?
π At home:
β’ Are your smoke alarms and detectors working properly?
β’ When did you last test them?
β’ If you have a fire extinguisher, do you know where it is?
β’ Is it stored correctly and somewhere that is safe and accessible if genuinely needed?
β’ Would everyone in your household know what to do if a fire occurred?
Hopefully, none of us will ever need to use a fire extinguisher in a real emergency. But being prepared, knowing what to do and having the right equipment in place can help protect lives.
Take a few minutes today to have a look around. You might be glad you did. β€οΈ
Thank you again to Target Fire and Kyle for helping us improve our knowledge and confidence around fire safety!π§―π₯
