Light for Life Sefton Light For Life services is the first point of call for anyone in housing need in Southport / Sefton.

Light for Life is a registered charity run by a team of housing advisors who are happy to help!

We are recruiting an additional Outreach Worker to join our Borough-wide service connecting with people who are Street Homeless to address the barriers they are experiencing which prevent them from entering accommodation.
An understanding of the varied needs of people who experience homelessness would be a great advantage.
The team works closely with our own Health Inclusion and Homelessness Prevention services as well as partner agencies focussing on Mental Health, Addictions and Offending.

Our CEO has just arrived back from the dentist with a huge smile - the Dentist and Dental Nurse both volunteer for Dentaid The Dental Charity and she was super proud to chat about our work in Sefton 😊

Proud to promote our work with Dentaid The Dental Charity at the Oral Health conference today in Bootle. Light for Life commissions Dentaid to provide dental services to people experiencing homelessness in Sefton. Dental buses visit Southport and Bootle several times each year and have brought relief to so many vulnerable people.

Packing Heat Wave packs ready for the Summer.

There are risks for people who are not yet ready to engage with accommodation offers during the Summer. Sun burn and sunstroke can be coupled with dehydration (especially if using alcohol) and issues relating to certain groups of medication.

Wow - it has been a hot one today. Our outreach team were out early to offer accommodation options along with water to anyone not currently engaging with services.

We are out every day providing a range of options to people who are street homeless and offering support from our Health Inclusion Service and signposting to colleagues in other agencies.

Whilst Light for Life is commissioned to provide a range of services for people experiencing homelessness in Sefton, we are a charity and as such rely on charitable giving to support some of our work.

We are also always in need of:

Toiletries
New socks and underwear (ladies and gents)
Non perishable food items

Today sees the introduction of the Renters Rights Act - pop in to our HUB to find out how this may assist you if you are experiencing difficulties as a tenant. There are changes to rent increases, evictions and consideration to pets - come and see us and see how Light for Life can help.
