A huge “Thank You” to President Pauline and her colleagues at Ainsdale Natterjacks WI for organising a fashion show last month and raising over £430 in support of Southport Lions Club. Their generosity is greatly appreciated and will be used to benefit some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

At Southport Lions Club’s April meeting President Steve Grindley was delighted to welcome our newest member Jenny Johnston. Jenny joins the world’s largest voluntary service organisation with over 1.4 million members worldwide. Don’t worry if you didn’t back I Am Maximus at this year’s Grand National. There are still a few tickets left for our Charity Race Night on Saturday 25th April. Don’t miss out! Cash only bets on the night.

We have organised a charity fundraising event at the Masonic Hall, Duke Street, Southport with our friends the Soroptimists and you are invited to join us for a fun evening on Saturday 25th April. Entry is by ticket only, priced at £20 including fish & chip supper.
As well as the opportunity to back horses on the night, individual horses can be purchased and named in advance for £10, with a prize for the owner of each winning horse.
