Queenscourt Hospice

Queenscourt Hospice The services we provide at Queenscourt Hospice are all free to those who need them. A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who helps us in any way, big or small.

Queenscourt Hospice is an independent charity committed to helping patients, and their families, to live with their illness, at whatever stage, and doing our best to improve their quality of life, either at home or in the hospice. To continue to provide these services we need to raise over £2 million pounds each year - this is only made possible by the kindness and generosity of the people who sup

port our work. If you are interested in supporting the work of Queenscourt there are many different ways in which you can become involved. These include joining our weekly lottery, organising your own fundraising event or supporting an event organised by the hospice, becoming a regular donor, donating unwanted clothes or bric a brac to our charity shops or volunteering to help with our events or in one of our charity shops. We can’t do it without you. If you are interested in becoming involved then please contact the fundraising team on [email protected].

Help shape the future of hospice care in Lancashire and South Cumbria 📣

At Queenscourt Hospice, we’re proud to be working alongside the Hospice and Palliative Care Academy to help identify the research priorities that matter most to our communities.

Following the publication of Marie Curie’s national end-of-life and palliative care research priorities, we want to understand which areas are most important to the people who experience, deliver and support hospice care across our region.

Whether you’re a patient, family member, carer, friend, member of staff or volunteer, your voice can help influence future research and ensure it reflects local needs and concerns.

We’d be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete a short survey and tell us which three priorities you feel should be the focus for future research.

🎁 As a thank you, everyone who completes the survey can enter a prize draw to win a £15 high street voucher.

What an incredible day! 💜💚

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday to celebrate the grand opening of our brand new Queenscourt Hospice Charity Shop in Ainsdale. It was fantastic to see so many friendly faces supporting this exciting new chapter.

From Brenda Porter, Chairman of Ainsdale in Bloom, officially cutting the ribbon alongside professional performer Kelly Bond ✂️, to brilliant live music from the Ukulele Buddies 🎶, the day was full of smiles, community spirit and plenty of bargain hunting!

We were also delighted to welcome two special guests from TikTok, the much-loved Trashy Treasure Hunters, who joined us to celebrate this exciting new addition to the Ainsdale community.

As we move through 2026, Queenscourt Hospice is facing the most significant financial challenge in our history. Every purchase, every donation and every visit to one of our charity shops helps us continue providing exceptional, compassionate care and support for patients and their families across West Lancashire, Southport & Formby.

QUEENSCOURT CARE CONTINUES 💜💚

Today we're sharing our Recovery Plan as we take important steps to secure the long-term future of Queenscourt Hospice.

Following difficult but necessary changes to address a £2 million annual funding gap, our focus is now firmly on recovery, sustainability and continuing to provide outstanding Specialist Palliative Care for local people living with life-limiting illnesses.

We know this has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone connected with Queenscourt, and we are deeply grateful for the compassion and support shown by our staff, volunteers, supporters and our local community.

Together, we're building a sustainable future, so Queenscourt Care Continues.
