In accordance with the procedures for Branch governance, elections, and membership administration as laid out in the RBL Membership Handbook (September 2025), particularly the sections on Elections (p. 45 onwards) and Rules (p. 45 onwards), notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Southport Branch of The Royal British Legion will take place as detailed above.
Purpose of the Meeting
This SGM is convened to conduct elections for the positions of Branch Chairman and Branch Secretary, following formal notification that:

Should such vacancies arise, elections may be held for:
• Vice Chairman
• Membership Secretary
• Committee Member(s)
Any posts that remain filled by their current holders will be proposed for confirmation for a further 3 year term, in keeping with the standard branch officer tenure (Handbook: Elections & Rules sections).
