☀️ Free Summer Activities & Food Programme (HAF) – Book Now! ☀️

We're excited to share some fantastic new additions to this year's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme for eligible families across Southend.

The programme is available to children and young people from Reception to Year 11 who receive Benefits-Related Free School Meals, offering a range of fun activities, healthy meals, and opportunities to stay active throughout the summer holidays.

🌟 What's new this summer? 🏊 Family Swim Sessions at Garon Park for eligible families
💪 Junior Gym & Swim Membership throughout August for eligible pupils
🍽️ Free meal deal included Monday–Thursday when attending the gym and swim sessions
🤝 SEND-friendly provision, with SEND participants able to bring a friend or support worker to access facilities and activities
All gym users will receive an induction before using the facilities, and staff will be on hand to provide support throughout.

📅 Family swim sessions will be running across 16 days during the summer holidays.

Southend City Council’s Health4Life Programme is looking for local sports and physical activity providers to support children and families across Southend.

We’re refreshing our delivery model to offer children more variety, more choice, and stronger pathways into local activities - and we want to work with YOU!

We’re looking for providers who can deliver:
- Fun, inclusive sessions for children aged 5–11
- Activities that build confidence, enjoyment, and wellbeing
- Opportunities for families to stay active beyond the programme

This is a fantastic opportunity to:
- Engage families who may not usually access sport
- Grow participation in your sessions
- Be part of a Southend City Council programme
