We’re looking to appoint a Community Engagement Lead & Hall Manager (up to full time) to develop our ministry to the local community and manage our newly refurbished Community Hall. You would build and lead a team of volunteers and join us at an exciting time as new mission and ministry opportunities open up to us. 🎉We have some VERY exciting news! 🎉

We’re absolutely thrilled to have been awarded £250,000 in National Lottery funding for our Restore & Renew project!

This incredible grant will make a huge difference, helping us continue the transformation of St James by the Park Community Hall into a welcoming, accessible and sustainable space for our church and the wider community.

We’re incredibly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund (The National Lottery Community Fund) for this generous support. It will make such a difference to the future of our hall and the community we hope to welcome through its doors. 💛

Another busy week at the hall!

The walls are really starting to take shape, with battens and plasterboard going up and the plasterers following close behind. Upstairs is now completely plastered, with downstairs not far behind.

Our new zinc entrance is nearly finished too and we’re really pleased with how it’s looking! 😊

There’s been plenty of progress since our last update, with the new acoustic panelling and windows going in and the zinc frame for the new entrance starting to take shape.

Work has continued this week with the first fix for the electrics and plumbing well underway! ⚡

It’s not just the building that’s being looked after though! Every week, different members of our congregation bring in homemade cakes for our wonderful team on site.

This week, we had an extra special reason to celebrate as our electrician turned the big 50! 🎂🎈
