Sometimes the impact of a Ronald McDonald House stay lasts long after a family returns home. ❤️

Jo knows that firsthand.

When her family needed support, they found a welcoming place to stay close to care and a community that understood the challenges they were facing.

Now, she's giving back by volunteering at Ronald McDonald House Australia, supporting families on their own medical journeys and helping them feel seen, supported and less alone!

Together, we've helped make a real difference for families with children in hospital. 💙
Thank you to everyone who supported McHappy Day 2026. Whether you donated, took part in fundraising activities, or visited your local McDonald's restaurant, every contribution helped raise more than £3 million for Ronald McDonald House UK and Ronald McDonald House Ireland . We're so grateful for your support!

October 15 holds a special place in our hearts. ❤️

Today marks the anniversary of the opening of the first Ronald McDonald House, and one year since we introduced our modernized brand alongside our Family Stays platform.

Over the last year, Chapters around the world have brought our new brand to life, all while celebrating the families at the heart of our mission.

When a child is ill or injured, family isn’t just there for a visit. They stay for the long haul. Ronald McDonald House makes it stay that way.

With 1,500+ Team Ronald McDonald House runners at this year’s , there are thousands of WHYs behind the miles. We captured just a few of them. ❤️

This year's team includes healthcare professionals, Chapter staff, volunteers, corporate partners, and passionate supporters from communities around the world.

Different experiences brought them to the starting line, but together they're helping more families access the care, resources, and support they need throughout their child's healthcare journey.

A big congratulations and THANK YOU to our 1,500+ Team Ronald McDonald House runners, volunteers, and incredible sponsors who joined us at this year’s Chicago Marathon as we celebrated the team’s 20th anniversary!

For two decades, runners have gone the distance with one shared goal: helping families stay close to the care their children need.

This year, thanks to your support, we raised over $3.8 million to help provide families with access to care along their child’s healthcare journey. Here’s to 20 more years of going the extra mile for Ronald McDonald House families ❤️

Today, on , we're thinking of all the families navigating their child's healthcare journey. 💚

When a child needs medical care, families often carry a lot: worry, uncertainty, disrupted routines, financial stress, and time spent away from home and loved ones.

Through Ronald McDonald House programs around the world, families can find a place to rest, recharge, connect with others who understand, and stay close to the care their child needs.

We recently had a lovely surprise when the Fox family popped in to see us after a check-up at Southampton Children's Hospital.

Two and a half years after their stay at our Southampton House, they still wanted to give back and kindly brought along a donation of treats for our families. From toiletries to snacks for our Grab & Go station, donations like these make a real difference and help us support families during their stay.

While they were here, they also shared this lovely photo of Dorothy from their time in hospital. It's wonderful to see the whole family doing so well, and we're so grateful they took the time to visit us.

Thank you, Fox family, for your kindness and continued support! 💛

While on holiday in Florida, Sam, one of our brilliant House Assistants, had the opportunity to visit Ronald McDonald House Lake Nona with their family. 🌴❤️

During the visit, House Manager Beth gave them a tour and shared how the House supports families going through difficult times.

It was great to see the facilities available, from daily meals and play areas to the welcoming spaces where families can relax and spend time together away from the hospital.

Sam also enjoyed learning about another Ronald McDonald House, sharing what we do in our Southampton House and discovering the many similarities, as well as a few differences, in the way we support families.

A huge 'thank you' to Beth for the warm welcome, hopefully there'll be another Florida House visit next year!

A very special moment took place at our Southampton House this week. 💖

While celebrating Lizzie's birthday, Jade had one more surprise planned.

She arranged for Lizzie to collect some post from reception, where a scratch card was waiting with a very important question: Will you marry me? 💍

As Lizzie revealed the message, Jade got down on one knee and proposed. It was a lovely moment, and our team felt privileged to witness it and help capture the occasion.

Congratulations to Jade and Lizzie on your engagement. We wish you both every happiness as you begin this exciting new chapter together. ✨

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a time to honor the children and families whose lives have been changed by cancer and to recognize all that families navigate throughout their treatment.

Cancer treatment can mean long drives, extended stays, countless appointments, and time away from home. Through it all, families should be able to focus on what matters most: caring for their child and being together.

At Ronald McDonald House, we’re honored to help families stay close to the care their child needs while finding comfort, community, and a sense of home – this September and every day. ❤️

McHappy Day at Southampton House! 🧸❤️
Today we were delighted to welcome Bearemy®, the Build-A-Bear mascot, to Southampton House as part of our McHappy Day celebrations!
Bearemy spent time meeting families, sharing hugs, posing for photos and helping to hand out teddy bears to children staying at the House. There were lots of smiles, excitement and special moments throughout the visit.
A huge thank you to Build-A-Bear and everyone who supports McHappy Day. These small acts of kindness can make a big difference to families going through difficult times.
Thank you for making today so special, Bearemy! ✨

As we recognize this September, we're thinking of the NICU families supported by Ronald McDonald House programs around the world ❤️

Families like baby Grayson's.

Grayson was born early at 33 weeks and needed immediate surgery and specialized care. For nearly a month while Grayson was in the NICU, his parents, Paige and Jordan, stayed just steps away at Ronald McDonald House Louisville

"Being at Ronald McDonald House allowed us to be with Grayson in the NICU as much as possible," Paige says. "It was the biggest blessing to us on our journey."

Jeremy, Jessica, and their three children stayed at Ronald McDonald House Atlanta for over 60 nights while their son participated in a feeding therapy program nearby.

When families can stay close, they can focus on what matters most: caring for and supporting one another throughout their child’s medical journey.

When you're navigating your child's medical journey, everyday activities like getting a haircut can fall to the bottom of the priority list.

At Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay, Inc., Olivia and her team helped families get back-to-school ready with fresh haircuts. We're grateful to community members like Olivia who give back in meaningful ways, helping families feel supported and experience moments of normalcy during challenging times.

Once a Ronald McDonald House Family, always a Ronald McDonald House Family. ❤️

While Harlow and Hadley were in the NICU, the Rardon family found comfort and support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri. Now, the twins have made it a tradition to give back by volunteering at the House each year, even spending part of their birthday this year packing lunches and preparing a meal for families staying at the House.

Thank you, Harlow and Hadley!

Half term can be especially difficult for families when a child is in hospital, with parents and siblings often balancing time between the ward, home and school.

That's why we're so grateful to work with incredible charities and partners to provide activities throughout the school holidays, giving families a chance to relax, have fun and spend time together. 💙

This week, Rainbow Trust Children's Charity , Scouts and Girlguiding in Hampshire Hospital and members of our House team have helped create plenty of smiles with slime making, soft axe throwing and arts and crafts sessions. 🎨✨

Thank you to everyone involved for bringing some extra fun and laughter to our House this half term.

Now more than halfway through 2026, we'd love to share some of the incredible impact our Southampton House has had so far this year:

- 674 families have stayed with us, helping loved ones stay close when they needed each other most. ❤️
- 294 medical passes have provided patients with precious time away from the ward to relax and spend time with family in a more homely environment.
- 209 day passes have enabled families to access our kitchens, laundry facilities and family spaces, helping make hospital appointments feel a little less clinical and a lot more comfortable. 🏠
- Our weekly NICU support sessions have continued to provide support for families throughout and beyond their hospital journey.
- More than 160 volunteer hours have been given by our incredible volunteers, from individuals to corporate teams, helping at events and carrying out essential tasks across the House. ⭐

Behind every one of these numbers is a family facing challenging times, a child receiving vital care, a volunteer giving their time, or a supporter making a difference.
Thank you to everyone who helps us provide comfort, care and a home away from home for families when they need it most. 💛

Say hello to Scott and Beau! 👋

They recently popped into our Southampton House after staying at our Birmingham House while Beau was receiving treatment at Birmingham Children's Hospital, over 160 miles from home.

Having experienced first-hand the support our Houses provide, they decided they wanted to give something back. They kindly took one of our fundraising shakers to place in Scott's business, helping to raise funds and spread awareness for families who need our support.

Every donation, conversation and act of kindness helps us continue providing a place for families to stay close when they need it most. ❤️

Thank you, Scott and Beau, for your continued support.

🐝🌼 We were absolutely 'buzzing' this week at our ""Sweet as Can Bee"" Summer Party! 🌼🐝

We took the opportunity to also have a planting party - brightening up our balcony area, giving families the chance to adopt a plant, and making our planters even more beautiful. 🌱🌸 It was so lovely to see past and present families coming together for some well-deserved fun and time away from the ward.

A huge thank you to all our incredible volunteers who helped make the day such a success: 💛 Karen & Lani 💛 Hospital Scouts 💛 Alysha, our amazing singer 💛 Serco, for generously donating a fantastic buffet 💛

We can't forget our wonderful House team, dedicating time, effort, and care to make the party happen.

We were also so grateful for the generosity of local businesses who donated some fantastic prizes: 🎁 High Score Arcade 🎁 Costa Coffee Southampton Hospital 🎁 Beaulieu Motor Museum 🎁 Longdown Activity Farm 🎁 New Forest Wildlife Park

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a special day. 🐝💐
