SSRC™ is Southampton’s community-focused social run club. Every Sunday, 8:30AM outside SO.CO.coffee heading out along the shore for 5KM. Just people.

We are a social run club based in Southampton, UK. Every Sunday at 8:30AM, we meet at Southampton Common for a relaxed, community-focused 5km run. There’s no pressure, no paces, just good vibes, conversation, and a consistent 6:45/km - 7:15/km pace led by our pacers. All running abilities are welcome. Each run finishes with coffee at Maurie’s, our local partner, where the social side of the club really comes alive. Expect occasional merch drops, creative campaigns, and a growing crew who show up for more than just the run.

TOMORROW WE START AT 8.00AM!

This week we want to trial starting earlier, runners are usually here in good time and this will allow everyone to maintain morning plans, whether it be junior parkrun with older children, preparing that Sunday roast or even attending church. SSRC still strives to cater to us all with our differing lives.

Sunday Socials are just a part of life now. 2 and a half years and still going. You can’t beat them. Thank you for showing up for yourselves and others. What we do simple but that doesn’t mean what it does for people and the city is simple.

COMMUNITY MEMBER OF THE MONTH FOR SEPTEMBER 👑

Supporting/celebrating each other is a big part of this community.

This month we want to celebrate and thank Lauren Lauren Gilbert

Lauren has made a massive impact to running in the city this year and she continues to show so much support to us and the community.

Lauren alongside Alysha have started their own women only runclub, which we think is something the running space truly needs. Lauren has supported our longs runs with pacing and has quickly become a present figure in the community that many rely on.

She achieves so much and has committed herself to running this year not just from a community perspective but personally as she has been recovering from a knee injury, even hitting the track alongside her son to encourage him.

We are so excited to see where Lauren’s running journey continues to take her and if you are a lady then you can join her and Alysha outside of SSRC with She Runs | A Running Community For Women

Enjoying the last of the sunshine on a Sunday morning. What happens in winter? Do we still run every week? Of course we do. The most important thing about building a community is realising we need to be reliable, you need to be able to rely on us and that is what you can do this winter. Embrace the cold and wet and still have the same fun every Sunday morning.

We are all set for another social along the shore tomorrow morning, we have a change of host. The amazing Kayleigh Coombs will be leading the run tomorrow along side and Scott

Everything will run as usual, the same route the same pacing thanks to James and Scott, we will still break at half way and there will still be the same great coffee, matcha and bakes thanks to Kayleigh.

One last recap of our amazing Sunday at Andark Lake | Hampshire sometimes it’s hard to see or realise the connections, the community, every Sunday but when you see everyone showing up for each other and just having a great time it dawns on everyone what we’ve got, what we’ve created by making the time. SSRC™ is committing to more of this next year!

This your invitation to join us, a run along the shore. An out and back with rest at 2.5KM. We offer support to all running abilities. Meeting outside so.co.™ at 8:15AM, run starts at 8:30AM. We then finish back at the coffee bar for drinks and outrageous bites.

We may only have a few more weeks left of sunshine but we are going to work hard to give you a reason to be outside for the rest of the year. We are back to Woolston and along the shore this Sunday. Serving up vibes and delicious coffee.
