A Century of Brotherhood, Built One Man at a Time.

Canute Lodge No. 4876 was founded in 1926 by a group of men who believed in the values of friendship, integrity, charity, and personal growth. Nearly 100 years later, those same principles continue to guide us.

Freemasonry isn't about secret handshakes or old stereotypes. It's about becoming the best version of yourself while supporting others to do the same. It's about building lifelong friendships, giving back to the community, and being part of something bigger than yourself.

Our Lodge has welcomed generations of men from all walks of life. Each has brought their own experiences, skills, and character, strengthening the bonds that make Canute Lodge what it is today.

Whether you're looking to meet like minded people, develop yourself, support charitable causes, or simply find a sense of belonging, you'll find a warm welcome at Canute Lodge No. 4876.

As we approach our centenary, we're proud of our history, but we're even more excited about our future.

If you've ever wondered what Freemasonry is really about, we'd love to hear from you.

Start the conversation today.

Today, Canute Lodge No. 4876 was proud to present a cheque for £1,754 to George's Rockstars helping to support their incredible work providing music therapy for children facing serious illness, disability and long hospital stays.

The cheque was presented to Amy O'Shaughnessy from George’s Rockstars at the NCA Charity Donation Event by Worshipful Master Paul Hill, alongside Charity Steward Gordon Day.

In attendance were Caroline Nokes, Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, and the Mayor of Eastleigh, who joined Freemasons in celebrating and supporting the many local charities receiving donations.

It was a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when communities come together for good causes.

A great way to close the season at Canute Lodge 4876.

At our final meeting before the summer break, we had the pleasure of witnessing Bro. Josh Mendoza take his next step in Freemasonry with his passing to the Second Degree. A well-delivered ceremony and a proud moment for both him and the Lodge.

These occasions remind us what the Lodge is all about. Progress, support, and shared experience among good men.

Wishing Bro. Josh Mendoza every success as he continues his journey.

Wishing all Brethren a restful summer. We look forward to meeting again in the new season.

Congratulations to Kobe Gabriel on your Initiation into Freemasonry at Canute Lodge #4876

Becoming an Entered Apprentice is an important step. It marks the beginning of a journey built on learning, character, and self-improvement.

Freemasonry has always been about more than meetings or ceremonies. It is about men coming together to support one another, build lasting friendships, and strive to become better in their daily lives. The lessons introduced in the First Degree encourage reflection, integrity, and a commitment to personal growth.

Kobe, tonight you took your first step on that path. The lodge room is now a place where you will continue to learn, ask questions, and develop alongside your fellow brethren.

On behalf of the Brethren of Canute Lodge, we welcome you warmly and look forward to walking this journey with you.

Congratulations, Brother.
