A great way to close the season at Canute Lodge 4876.

At our final meeting before the summer break, we had the pleasure of witnessing Bro. Josh Mendoza take his next step in Freemasonry with his passing to the Second Degree. A well-delivered ceremony and a proud moment for both him and the Lodge.

These occasions remind us what the Lodge is all about. Progress, support, and shared experience among good men.

Wishing Bro. Josh Mendoza every success as he continues his journey.

Becoming an Entered Apprentice is an important step. It marks the beginning of a journey built on learning, character, and self-improvement.

Freemasonry has always been about more than meetings or ceremonies. It is about men coming together to support one another, build lasting friendships, and strive to become better in their daily lives. The lessons introduced in the First Degree encourage reflection, integrity, and a commitment to personal growth.

As Christmas draws near, everyone at Canute Lodge 4876 would like to wish our Brethren, families, and friends a very happy Christmas.

This is a time for reflection, gratitude, and kindness. We’re thankful for the fellowship we share, the support of our families, and the chance to help our local community throughout the year.

We wish you peace, good health, and warmth over the festive period, and we look forward to meeting again in the New Year.

Members of Canute Lodge 4876 attended the Royal British Legion service at the Southampton Cenotaph for Remembrance Day.
We stood in silence to honour the men and women of the Armed Forces who gave their lives in service.

A wreath was laid on behalf of the Lodge as a mark of respect. The ceremony brought together people of all faiths, united by remembrance and shared camaraderie.

We honour their courage, cherish their memory, and stand in gratitude.

A wonderful evening at Canute Lodge tonight as we welcomed a great number of visiting Brethren for the raising of our Brother Mark Abbas. Welcome to the Third Degree, Brother Mark – another important step in your Masonic journey. The ceremony was carried out in fine form and enjoyed by all present.

After the meeting, we were joined by Bro. Chris Dodd, who gave an inspiring talk about the TLC (Teddies for Loving Care) charity – helping bring comfort to children in hospitals across the country. Chris also presented the Lodge with a certificate recognising our charitable giving to the cause, and gifted the Worshipful Master a large teddy bear to be used for our next raffle.

After a long summer break, it was a pleasure to see the Lodge room full once again, sharing friendship, laughter, and brotherhood at the festive board.
