Headway Southampton Headway Southampton and West Wessex is an independent charity offering support, advice, rehab to adults with an acquired brain injury(ABI)

Headway works with people who have had an acquired brain injury along with their families and partners. We provide a community based rehabilitation service from our premises in Totton covering South Hampshire and Southampton, for survivors of traumatic injuries such as assaults or road traffic accidents; and non- traumatic conditions such as a tumour, stroke or infection. Brain injuries bring a wide range of difficulties and in particular problems with mobility, communication, memory problems, awareness and emotional adjustment. Our aim is to support our clients to recover as much independence and self – confidence as possible both at home and in the community. We do this through a wide range of activities such as cooking, fitness and sport, risk awareness, support into paid and voluntary work, education and IT qualifications.
