Bio-Cycle is Southampton's first ever student-led food waste recycling scheme with the aim to benefit the local community by recycling and repurposing food waste. With this scheme, we hope to benefit the local community by recycling and repurposing otherwise wasted food.In preventing unnecessary food waste from going to landfill, by re-using it locally, we hope to encourage sustainability within S

outhampton and the strong student community, changing the way people view recycling. How does it work? The scheme will provide students with food waste caddies and bin liners at a small fee of £10, simultaneously allowing them to register with a regular weekly food waste pickup service and receive all other necessary materials. How can you get involved? There are several ways you can be involved with this scheme! If you are a student at the University of Southampton and are interested in purchasing a caddy, to have your food waste collected from your doorstep, then please fill out the following reservation form: https://goo.gl/forms/ENYUJOvsQHJyOvq23If you are interested in volunteering as a cyclist to collect food waste from students' homes, then please fill out the following form: https://goo.gl/forms/BRxdsp0fpi7Vmmtk1If you have any questions and/or comments, feel free to contact us by clicking the "Message" button above.
