Big changes are taking shape at The Granges. 💛

It’s been less than a year since work began, and we’re already seeing fantastic progress:

• 182 new homes underway 🏗️
• Winwood tower block demolished 🏢
• Community room refreshed and reopened 🎨
• Residents helping design their new homes via 🏡

We’re proud that this transformation is happening while residents remain living here, keeping the community together throughout.

In total, The Granges will deliver 413 new 100% affordable homes with beautiful new green spaces. The first homes are expected in early 2027.

Research shows a spike in domestic abuse cases during men's football tournaments, making it especially important to stay aware and look out for warning signs.

The Round About Café isn’t just about serving delicious food and coffee, it also hosts the Community Pantry - a low-cost food initiative where local individuals and families can access a range of groceries for a fraction of retail price.

As the Men’s World Cup approaches, we’re shining a light on what matters most: feeling safe at home and knowing where help is available.

Research shows domestic abuse incidents can increase by up to 38% after matches, a reminder that behind the celebrations, some people face a very different reality.

At Abri, we’re using this moment to raise awareness, support those affected, and remind everyone that a safe home matters more than any scoreline.

You may be aware of the protests that happened in Southampton this week following the tragic death of Henry Nowak. We’d like to use this time to remind you that we have a zero-tolerance approach to hate and discrimination in our communities.

We will take reasonable and proportionate action when dealing with reports of hate crime and hate incidents from our customers.

If you experience a hate crime or discrimination you can contact us on 0300 123 1567. You can also report incidents to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. If you are in immediate danger or a crime is taking place please call 999.

From volunteering to Centre Assistant at The Reed! 🌟

When Maria spotted a volunteering opportunity in our customer newsletter, she decided to give it a try, and it turned into something much bigger.

Starting in 2025, Maria quickly discovered she loved being around people and making a positive difference. Through her volunteering, she gained valuable experience handing calls, managing her time and supporting day-to-day activities – building both her skills and confidence along the way.

But it wasn’t just about the experience. Volunteering gave Maria something just as important: a real sense of belonging and connection within her community. 🩷

A few months after her volunteering ended, Maria was encouraged to apply for a Centre Assistant role at The Reed, and we’re delighted to say she was successful!
