We are at Chamberlayne School so can fix bikes with young people from this school on Monday after school only on Week 1 of the timetable. Tuesday:
Adult social ride 9.30am - easy paced and social ride from our workshop led by trained ride leaders. We usually go down to weston shore and along to
Hamble and then back up Hamble lane, its a perfect route for gaining confidence and fitness. Wednesday:
FREE Bike Dr in other parts of the community eg Bitterne Precinct (1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month 10-2pm) . Adult Bike Kitchen and Bike Maintenance Training 6.30pm - 8pm. Thursday:
Womens only ride 11am - a short easy paced ride from our workshop to local areas in Weston or Thornhill. Many attendees of this ride have children on their bikes or we can carry children as well. Workshop open for sales and paid for repairs 10-3pm
Youth Bike Workshop 3-5pm. This is a drop in session for young people in the local area to come and learn how to fix their bikes themselves with our team. First come first served, some parts may have a cost, local families will have priority,
Second Hand Bike Sales: Get in touch via this page to see what we have on offer, adult bikes start from £60 and kids bikes from £10, we also sell new accessories and equipment such as lights and locks. All income goes back to the charity. Do pop in at one of the sessions above if you want to come and see the workshop in action and have a look at bikes. Cycle Training Sessions: Adult 'cycle confidence' sessions are currently FREE as funded by My Journey Hampshire. Get in touch to book you 121 or group lesson with the family. Mobile Bike Maintenance sessions: We have currently doing these sessions on Bittern Precinct, Weston Shore, Harefield, Oasis Sholing, Oasis Academy , Chamberlayne School and Woodlands Community College. I the past we have been booked to run this at various events including SO18 Big Local, Sholing Valleys, Lets Ride festival and many more.
121 Youth Engagement and Alternative Provision: We are an experienced provider of informal bike maintenance training for young people and have delivered sessions for Compass School, Chamberlayne College and others. If you work with young people and want to book a 121 session for them get in touch,
