Our amazing youth team took 17 of our young people on our annual residential trip to PGL Little Canada.
This is such an amazing experience for our young people, they have so much fun trying out all the fun activities & taking on new challenges.
Thank you to our amazing youth workers👏👏

A very big thank you to Canford School for not only fundraising to cover the cost of this trip, but for joining us for the weekend with an amazing bunch of your students.

We are really looking forward to welcoming some of our community led projects back next week, here’s a update of what’s returning -

Community Cafe returns on Monday 7th September, 11am - 1pm.
We will be offering a slightly different menu to our usual due to our kitchen still being out of use but we are really looking forward to seeing all of our regulars & some new faces.

Mens Well Within Northam group returns on Tuesday 8th September, 1.30 - 3.30pm.

City Reach Youth project will be open as usual all of next week & hopefully we will have the drainage works complete so the Muga Cage will be available to use. The resurfacing will be completed in October.

Ladies sewing class is having a rebrand & some changes which have been requested by the ladies.
We will be delaying the reopening until Friday 2nd October. Keep a look out for the exciting changes we will be sharing with you all very soon.

The Big Difference will also be reopening on Monday 7th September.

See you all next week!! 😁😁

Northam Community Centre & City Reach Youth Project are back open this week, we really appreciate all your support during this time😃

Here’s a quick update

The Carpark is almost finished with just the fencing left to instal. Works have been done to try to increase spaces & improve the drainage.

The Muga sports cage is currently still out of use but is having the much needed drainage works completed ready for the new sports grass surface to be laid in October.

The Community hall is looking 🤩
It has been painted, the parquet wooden floor has been stripped back, sanded & varnished. It looks absolutely stunning.

The Community kitchen has been ripped out completely, new kitchen has been ordered & flooring is ready to be laid, should be completed next week🤞

The main toilets have all been ripped out, have been painted, new cisterns installed, flooring is being laid & then new sinks & baby change area to be installed.

The Big Difference will remain closed this week but will reopen on Monday 7th September. Please support them & visit the other supermarkets in Woolston & Shirley Warren while ours is closed.

We can’t wait for you all to see the finished results, exciting times ahead😁

Unfortunately due to construction works going on within the community centre, carpark & Muga we have risk assessed & have had to make the difficult decision to keep the Cityreach Youth Project closed for another week. This has not been an easy decision as we understand it’s the school holidays & our young people rely us now more then ever.

TODAY!! Our team are going to be in the Northam play parks with some colouring & activities, just to provide an opportunity to touch basis with our young people & their families. They will be there between 3.45-5.45pm today😃 We will look forward to seeing you all there.

30/07/2026

An amazing first week of the Summer Holidays, we’ve seen over 100 children/young people attend our Cityreach Youth Project😃
