Southampton Action We provide clothes and other essential items to refugees and asylums seekers in Southampton and surrounding areas, as well as Calais.

We work to support refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable groups in Southampton and further afield by collecting donations for distribution to those in the local area, Calais and further afield and providing practical assistance to refugees. Could you spare a little time to support refugees and people seeking asylum in Southampton? Even 30 minutes makes a real difference 💙

We’re looking for volunteers to help sort donated clothes at our storage space in Townhill Park. It’s a simple, practical way to help essential items reach people quickly and with dignity.

• Flexible — stay for as little or as long as you can
• Friendly, welcoming environment
• No experience needed
• A great way to support your local community

We’re sharing our updated June & July needs list based on what our clients specifically need right now.

All items are welcome between **1 June and 31 July**, and every donation helps refugees and people seeking asylum in Southampton access essential items with dignity.

🙏 Please note:
• All items must be clean and good quality
• Second-hand items are welcome unless stated otherwise
• Underwear, socks, duvets and pillows must be new and in packet for hygiene reasons
• We cannot accept electrical items or sharp objects

Today Southampton is hurting.
There's a lot we could say about that.
But instead today we just want to say, we hope you're all safe and well, especially those in our community that witnessed such distressing scenes yesterday.

The Southampton we know looks out for each other and cares for each other, and we hope that is how people are feeling right now.

Stay safe and take care.
There is a place for holding authorities to account, but today we should all hear the words of Henry's family.
