Hello everyone from Vancouver Island! All is well here. Spring is springing after and very wet winter and we are keen to spend more time outdoors.

We had a lovely email and a fabulous visit from Trish - who was skiing at Whistler. We met half-way in Vancouver and visited Stanley Park, drove around Vancouver and had lunch on Granville Island. It was a flying visit but we had a lovely natter and catch up.

Trish traveled the Sea to Sky Highway ( #99) on a coach for 2.5 hours - which is a very scenic journey. William and I got up at 5.30am to drive to catch the 7am ferry (1hr 45m) with an hour to drive into downtown Vancouver to meet the bus. We thought we had missed Trish as we didn't see her get off. It turns out she'd nipped into the closest hotel to use the bathroom!

I am posting just a few pictures we took - they look a bit similar but take a look at the backgrounds - they are different, honest!
We had 4-5 hours together before we parted. William and I made the most of the time before the 7pm ferry by nipping to Ikea (no such thing on our island) and where home by 9.30pm where William promptly left the house for his Ice Hockey Playoffs! It was a wonderful day and I'm so glad Trish told us she was coming and we could get together.

Anyone who is venturing out this way is most welcome!

PS William's hockey team won and could be in the playoffs. he got injured and missed last nights and tonight's game but hopes to be better for the last three matches this weekend.

We are very excited!
