We are 🤘stoked🤘 to be hosting our pals Gig Night at Planet Sounds for Music in the City this year! Top young talent on display, come and see the next big thing in the city’s most iconic music rooms.

We’re truly passionate about supporting emerging talent and partners that do the same. Our friends at Gignight are providing vital performance opportunities for young artists and bands, and we’re proud to be making sure every artist that plays at our Music in the City show gets paid. We see the commitment and hard work that goes into writing, rehearsing and performing - and we think it’s important that artists bringing in the crowds, especially those starting out, get paid to play 🙌

Make music - on your own, with other people, we’re here for that. We have sessions specifically for young people at our iconic (and sooo photogenic) subterranean(ish) music space Planet Sounds. Wednesdays 4-6, Saturdays 12-2. It’s free, bring your tunes, your mates, your chats, your open mind and your (protected) ears. Our team of friendly music legends will help you, or leave you to it (if that’s what you want). No pressure, just space to play 🤘

The Recovery Allstars are amazing! We’ve been running these sessions for 10+ years, supported by Southampton City Council, Change Grow Live and Society of St James.

Central themes of our Sustainable Early Years Music (SEYM) programme are co-facilitation, safe practice and knowledge exchange. We had a rich day of conversation and discovery last week with SoCo Practitioners and School Partners.

Grateful for the support from Youth Music and Arts Council England.
