We’ve hit 400! That’s 400 acts that have signed up to perform at Southampton’s Music in the City multi venue festival, taking place this year on Saturday 12th September 2026.

It’s clearly going to be a very BIG day.

And what a great way to hit this milestone with local RnB talent MoniQ joining our lineup. She’s fast becoming one of the most exciting new sounds on the Southampton scene.

Born in Zimbabwe and raised in Southampton, she’s spent the last year honing her craft and shaping an international sound that’s as punchy as it is irresistible. With appearances at other local festivals and a main support slot at O2 Islington performing her original music, MoniQ is going places, and we are delighted to have her perform with us.

She’s recently released her first single Lucky Night which is receiving great reviews and will no doubt be on her set list in September, we’ve added it to our 2026 Playlist - link in bio and on our website, take a listen now!

Applications will be closing soon, and curation of the festival will be taking place later in June… where in Southampton will MoniQ be performing 🤔

Music in the Marathon 2026.

17 stages, 50 live performances, over 400 local musicians, one fantastic and joyous day!

Big thanks to the incredible ABP Southampton Marathon Festival team for putting on what has to be Southampton’s top event, now in its 11th year, that unites our communities and delivers on so many levels for the people of Southampton and beyond.

Thank you so much for entrusting us to bring the noise, we really appreciate the gig 🎶

And of course a huge shout out to all our brilliant artists that performed on the day, and our stage managers …. we rocked Southampton 🎸
