Saturday 12th Sept is also freshers day as we welcome the new students to University of Southampton and they’ve asked us to provide some live entertainment 🎶🎸

Delighted we could help, and thank you to our acts we’ve put forward who’ve embraced the opportunity GreenishBand23 Sonne & Sculpt - we hope you have a great gig and pick up some new Southampton followers.

This is the start of a new relationship with The University of Southampton that will hope will lead to other opportunities, watch this space as they say.

TOYS R US car park 🎶

This underused city space will see a takeover from Reverence Sound (Sat 12-6) & Address Sound (Sun 11-4) systems for a celebration of reggae, bass and electronic music as part of Music in the City 2026.

And Saturday will also include live Samba drumming and performances, bringing the Carnival spirit to our city.

As well as tunes that would slay any dancefloor, there will be a huge live art display from Good Idea Today and food traders matching the moment.

Absolutely not to be missed part of Music in the City 2026 - Saturday 12th Sept from midday 🎶

Following 2 brilliant gigs at incredible independent record stores in Bath at Resolution Records and in Solihull at Manor House Records it is time to move a little closer to home. Catch me this Saturday 12th September at Vinilo Record Store in Southampton as part of Music in The City. I am on at 4pm, why not spend the afternoon there and catch the other acts who are on before me ❤️. Don't forget that, DayROMs who come and see me perform on this tour qualify for FREE merch!
Please support your local independent record store they are incredibly important to the music eco system.

Saturday night at the Joiners from 7pm (doors 6.30)…

we welcome back Accrington Stanley, its been a while! What better way to celebrate the Joiners reopening than these local legends starting the party 🎸

Followed by Emerson, a four piece Indie rock band from Fleet who we want to give a warm Southampton welcome to. They are gaining a great reputation, you saw them here first, right here in the infamous Joiners 😉

And then, drum roll, more local legends… The Soulcatchers from 9pm, for as long as they and or your dancing shoes hold out. Expect Soul & Motown absolute classics 💃
