Music in The City

Hey all you lovely people of Facebook, did you take any good snaps at Music in the City in Southampton last weekend? We'd love to see anything you captured - not just the performers but other moments, the venues, the crowds, you having fun... our city buzzing!

If you are happy to let us include them in our promotion going forward that would be great, not for profit or anything like that, just to help us show what a good time was had, and help us get support for the event, thank you.

Drop them in the comments so we can all see and enjoy, and also you can upload them on our website here: https://musicinthecity.org/2026/photos

Thank you, and thanks for being a part of it 🎶

The band had a brilliant time last Saturday performing in the beautiful space at St. Michael's the Archangel Church - Southampton for our return to the Music in The City festival! We were one of a large variety of acts performing across the city centre and so were especially pleased to showcase the world of brass band music to a full audience of Sotonians 🔴⚪️

In addition to some popular favourites we took the opportunity to feature some lesser known works on our programme. This included William Rimmer’s seldom performed contest march: “Viva Pettee”. You can watch our live performance below 🎺

We’ll be uploading more highlights of our concerts onto our YouTube channel so subscribe here to avoid missing out:

A huge thank you to the organisers of the festival for putting together such a fantastic event as well as the kind volunteers at St. Michael’s Church. Finally, thank you to everyone who came to our concert - we look forward to next year’s "Music in the City"! 🎉
