💭 There are 16 million disabled people in the UK. We share some common ground, but we're all unique.

It’s important to remember that being disabled is only one part of someone’s identity. Because disabled people are all over the world. Different genders, races, religions, ages and backgrounds.

These parts of our identities also overlap, and can lead us to have different experiences. Recognising that overlap, or intersection, means we can understand more about the challenges other people face. And that means we can start to break down the unique barriers people encounter 🚧

💡 That’s why we’re reminding people that disabled people exist in every community. We can’t achieve an equal world for disabled people unless there’s equality for all.

Not enough people know, or care, about the fight for disability equality. But it’s time to take notice.

There are 16 million disabled people in the UK. We’re a diverse, proud and vibrant community. But life is still outrageously unequal.

The world has changed a lot in recent years. And we need to change with it. That’s why today, we’re sharing our refreshed brand. It will help make disability impossible to ignore.

We’re part of a powerful movement of disabled people and non-disabled allies. Because an equal future is possible, but it’s going to take all of us. Are you in?
