A huge CONGRATULATIONS to all of our Scouts and Explorers who took part in the Great River Race today.

Rowing 21.6 miles through London is no easy task, especially against 263 other teams, mostly with adult crews.

This year our Explorer team crossed the line in 3hrs41mins and took home the Under 16’s and Scout Affiliate Trophies. 🏆 WELL DONE LADS!
Our Scout team crossed the line in 5hrs11mins, which bearing in mind they are all only 11 - 13 years old and have never rowed this distance before, is AMAZING! And what a true display of resilience and determination.

A massive THANK YOU must also go to our Leaders and Parent Volunteers who have organised the teams this year, towed and transported boats and crews, or supported in the boats as Coxswains. We couldn’t give the young people these opportunities without you! Thank you to the families and supporters who also travelled to London today to cheer on the teams from the bridges and riverbanks.
