Wellow Community First Responders

Wellow Community First Responders We're all volunteers for South Central Ambulance. Once an ambulance crew arrives at the scene, CFRs work alongside a clinically qualified practitioner.

We are Wellow Community First Responders, Volunteers who are trained to attend emergency calls received by South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and provide emergency care until the ambulance arrives Community First Responders( CFRs) use life-saving skills, such as the use of the automated external defibrillator (AED), to provide early and often vital intervention for patients suffering life-threatening emergencies in the immediate vicinity of where they live or work.

πŸ’š 179 new community first responders recruited - 179 more people ready to helpπŸ’š

Thanks to money raised by the South Central Ambulance Charity, 179 new community first responders (CFRs) were recruited last year.

CFRs are trained volunteers who live in their local communities and can be sent to life-threatening emergencies, often arriving in the crucial first minutes before an ambulance crew.

Your fundraising helps:
πŸ‘‰ Recruit and train new volunteers
πŸ‘‰ Equip CFRs with essential life-saving kit
πŸ‘‰ Strengthen emergency response in towns, villages and rural areas

Every new CFR means faster help, closer to home, when it's needed most.

You can help keep our CFRs on call to save lives by donating here: https://sca-charity.enthuse.com/donate #!/

Hope our lovely friends from North Harbour don't mind us sharing their post!
All the SCAS CFR volunteers (and our Fire and Military CoRo first responders) are funded by the SCAS charity and we depend on donations to keep us on the road, helping our local communities.
Thank you to all that donate πŸ’š

Thank you 😊

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU! We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received, in both donations and virtually on our social media in response to the media appeal that aired on Thursday. Since talking to BBC Berkshire , BBC Oxfordshire , BBC Hampshire & Isle of Wight and featuring on BBC South Today, we have had an influx of new followers, donations, regular givers and we couldn't be more grateful to everyone who has shared, liked and donated.
