So tonight we get the great pleasure of singing our first shanty in 11 years at the Meva Shanty Fest down here in beautiful Cornwall.

A number of us were here for the Gala Fundraiser last night - it was superb. Call out to Stuns'ls, Nordet Chants de Marins and Johnny Cowling.

So now with clearing heads, beautiful blue skies we look forward to singing our first set tonight at the Beach Club at Pentewan Sands.

So this weekend we are performing at the Meva Shanty Fest down in Cornwall. It will be the first time in our 11 year history that we’ll sing a shanty or two in the spiritual home of shanties….and we can’t wait!

This is our first of 4 sets over the weekend…..this Friday at the Beach Club - Pentewan Sands

We have a fundraiser coming up on Saturday 14th November for our friends at the Hamble Lifeboat & Southampton Lifeboat at the Hamble Village Memorial Hall. We'll be joined by our friends from Steam Town Shanty Crew for a night of shanties, songs of the sea and maybe a laugh or two...

Tickets are going well and are available from eventbrite on this huge link below.... tickets are just £11.55 (including booking fee). We are funding the evening so (apart from the booking fee) your tenner will go to these wonderful folks.

Did you know that the Hamble and Southampton Lifeboats are:

Not part of the RNLI
Get no funding from government
Were the 3rd busiest lifeboat station in the UK in 2026
And have already been on more shouts in 2026 than last year
And are 100% volunteers..
