Three years ago we asked Southampton City Council to do something about the dangerous, muddy ditch between Shirley skate park and Briarswood. It was preventing people walking safely from Lordsdale Greenway to St James Park. Whilst jointly owned with Briarswood Housing association the council did agree to fund the repairs. It has taken rather a long time to materialise, but it's a good result and a big win for active, safe travel and likely to reduce fly-tipping!

Great day doing a litter pick and then clearing the new hedgerow we planted back in January from brambles and bindweed. We forgot to take a “before” pic, but here’s the great result. We even gave them all a nice drink!
