THE PEOPLE BEHIND NAPTON 10K 💚

There’s one thing we couldn’t do race day without...

Our volunteers.

Napton 10K is organised entirely by people from our local community, and on race day you’ll find them everywhere.

💚 Marshals out on the course, pointing you in the right direction and cheering you on
🎒 Napton Brownies taking care of the bag drop
🏃 The team making sure everything runs smoothly
🙌 Local helpers giving up their Sunday to make the day happen

There’s a huge amount of work that goes into getting everyone to that start line, and we’re incredibly lucky to have such a brilliant group of people behind it.

So when you hear a marshal shouting your name as you’re questioning your life choices halfway round... give them a wave. 😂

Some of our runners have been with us from the very beginning, coming back year after year for another lap of Napton.

Maybe it’s the countryside route.

Maybe it’s the brilliant marshals cheering you on.

Maybe it’s because, despite being properly organised and chip timed, Napton 10K still feels like a friendly village race where everyone is welcome.

Our 2.5km Family Fun Run is back, giving little legs, parents, grandparents and anyone who fancies a shorter run the chance to get involved. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

No pressure. No need to worry about pace. Just get out there, have a run and enjoy being part of the day.

And when the running is done, stick around. We’ll have the race village, refreshments, burgers, b**r and live music from Collision Theory to keep the fun going. 🍔🎶

Napton 10K isn’t organised by a big events company. It’s put together by local volunteers who give up their time to make race day happen.

From the people planning behind the scenes to the marshals cheering you around the course and the Napton Brownies looking after the bag drop, there are local hands behind every part of the day.

And the reason we do it?

All proceeds from Napton 10K support local community projects.

MEET YOUR PACERS 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Got a time in mind for Napton 10K?

Or just want someone to help keep you moving at a steady pace?

Our official pacers from PGC1 Coaching will be out on the course with you. 💚

Rather than constantly checking your watch, find the pacer for your target time and let them do the maths. They’ll help you keep things steady, avoid going off too quickly and give you a friendly face to stick with when those kilometres start adding up.

And if you’re running your first 10K? They can be a brilliant confidence boost too.

Whatever time you cross the finish line, the biggest goal is getting there.

THIS TIME IN FOUR WEEKS… 👀💚

Your trainers will be on.

The start line will be filling up.

Our marshals will be in position, the race village will be coming to life and there’ll probably already be a very distracting smell of breakfast in the air. 😂

Then at **10am, we’re off.**

10K of Napton village and Warwickshire countryside, followed by a finish-line medal and a well-earned trip to the race village for burgers, b**r and live music.

Four weeks sounds like plenty of time.

It really isn’t. 👀

You don’t need to be the fastest person on the start line.

You don’t need a fancy watch, a perfect pace or years of running behind you.

You just need to give it a go.

Napton 10K is just as much for first-timers as it is for seasoned runners. We’ve got official pacers from PGC1 Coaching, brilliant marshals around the course and a friendly crowd to help you all the way to that finish line.

Run it. Jog it. Take it at your own pace.

**LET’S TALK ABOUT THE ROUTE… 👀🏃**

We won’t lie to you. There’s a hill.

But the good news? We get it out of the way in the **first kilometre**. 😂

From there, the route opens out onto quieter, flatter country roads, taking you through Napton and the surrounding Warwickshire countryside before bringing you back to the finish at Napton Victory Club.

It’s a brilliant route for those chasing a time, tackling their first 10K or simply looking for a good Sunday run with plenty to look at along the way.

A little hill. A lot of countryside. And a medal waiting for you at the end. 💚
