SOUTH ZEAL OPEN GARDENS DAY

Sunday 8th June 10am to 5pm.

The main annual fund raising event for South Zeal Victory Hall since the 1990’s, the highly popular Open Gardens Day for South Zeal is being held on Sunday June 8th from 10am to 5pm.

Come and join us in our picturesque Dartmoor village. There are glorious gardens to visit, lunches and fabulous puddings in the hall to be enjoyed, ‘pop up’ garden teas and snacks, two choirs singing for you, and a wonderful O gauge model railway.

Here’s everything you need to know about the day….
Entry fee: Entry to the gardens is by programme, £5 per person (children free). Available the week prior from The King’s Arms, South Zeal (cash only and correct money please) and on the day from The Victory Hall, South Zeal, EX20 2JR between 9.45am and 4pm.

Parking: Free parking available at The King’s Arms

Cash only: Programmes, lunches in the hall, plant and tool sales and teas are cash only, so please have your change ready.

Lunches: In The Victory Hall from 12 to 2pm. Ploughmans £6, puddings £4.

Gardens teas and snacks: See the programme for details of the gardens/ times offering refreshments.

Plant sale and tool sale: 10am to 2pm Opposite St. Mary's Chapel at Barton Farm. A selection of gardening books kindly donated by Sara Redstone in the Victory Hall - donations please.

Dogs: Assistance dogs only.

Other events include: Moor Harmony’s concert 1pm St. Mary’s Chapel. Listen out for Emily's Balmaidens another local choir appearing in several gardens. For current event details, see social media (details on poster).

PLANT SALE AND TOOL SALE REMINDER

Just a reminder that your spare cuttings, seedlings and split plants will be gratefully accepted for the Open Gardens Day plant sale. We kindly ask that plants are named if possible before dropping off in the week running up to Sunday 8th (preferably by Sat 7th) inside the farmyard gate to the right of Barton Cottage. (As well as your pre loved tools for the tool sale). Alternatively if on the day, please make they are dropped off by 9.30 am. All sales are raising money for The Victory Hall.
