South Tyneside Adult Carer Service Free confidential advice and support service to anyone providing care to a family member or friend i The care they give is unpaid.

South Tyneside Adult Carers Service (STACS) is a registered charity who provide support to local Carers. A Carer is anyone, including children and adults who look after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. STACS offer a range of services; Advice and Information

, Emotional Support, Befriending, Advocacy, Carer Forums and weekly groups. Caring for someone can often cause people to feel isolated and we encourage people to link with others to take some time out, share experiences and for their own enjoyment. Whether you are new to caring, or have been a Carer for a long time, STACS is here to help
