Rookies is back today

Our rookie lifeguard sessions are at Boldon School 5-6pm on a Saturday. Our sessions cater for children aged 5 - 11 years. Sessions are pay as you go £4 per session and membership is £20 per person. Membership runs Sept to Aug each year. Membership is £10 per year after initial signup.

Rookies follow the RLSS UK Rookie Lifeguard awards moving from achievement level to Bronze to Gold. Rookies track their own progress through the awards using the Rookie booklet (provided through initial membership fee) where they can collect the awards, badges, stickers and certificates.

Rookies can also collect special bolt on awards such as Rookie First Aid, Beach activities, Paddle board and Communications.

During the summer months we are also able to offer beach training sessions at our base on Sandhaven Beach.

All instructors are highly qualified and experienced

Rookie sessions

Due to ongoing pool improvements the school pool will be closed for another 2 Saturdays. We will start again on Saturday 19th September. Seniors is not effected and we restart on Tuesday in the CA pool

It’s monthly pool lifeguard training tonight for all qualified lifeguards to keep their qualifications up to date. All qualified pool, beach and open water lifeguards are welcome to attend. If you would like to join us please drop us a message.
