Visually Impaired People - VIP Friendship Group

Visually Impaired People - VIP Friendship Group People who have lost all or some of their sight can feel isolated, sometimes wothless, and unsure of themselves. Our group was set up to bring VI's together.

Sharing empathy and not sympathy can make a huge difference on how one learns to deal with a new situation. We are all in the same boat; we REALLY know what it's like. We live through it every day, so we get together to share our thoughts, and look for solutions to everyday problems. The group meets on Wednesday’s from 10am until 2.30pm. All vision impaired people are welcome, regardless of age,

gender or ability. Bring along a friend or family member if you wish (they all support each other as well). Get together for a chat, quiz, domino bingo, carpet bowls and a host of other things on Wednesday’s. We may be away on an outing, so it is best to call one of the above numbers the week before you intend to drop in. We have numerous outings a year, including day trips, parties, and pub lunches, so be sure to check it out. We go ten pin bowling on Tuesdays, and are in a national postal league! Give us a ring if you need to be met and guided to our venue. There are countless buses and the metro close by and the main road
has a controlled crossing. Come and join us, we don't bite.

Who can point out the issue here? Parking on the pavement like this can cause serious obstructions for blind and partially sighted people, and people with wheelchairs or prams. If you're considerate when you're parking, you make everyone's lives easier.
