Greater Pollok Walkabout Events

Greater Pollok Walkabout Events Easter day and Christmas Eve themed events around Greater Pollok with partner organisations

Our first Christmas Eve event was in 2020 and going into 2021 we continued into another difficult year for many children and their families due to Covid-19 and it's consequences; families surviving on minimal income, experiencing grief, centres and clubs closed, adverse impact on education, mental health... the list goes on. That's why Threehills Community Supermarket, Greater Pollok Services and others are working together to make Christmas and Easter a wee bit more special for Greater Pollok families. We will be collecting and distributing gifts on themed walkabouts to support children and families. Day to day lives, financial situations and mental health have been heavily impacted and children are facing worries and experiencing challenges that no child should be facing. Relying heavily on your support, we hope to create some joy for our children during these unpredictable times. Our themed walkabouts have become a bit of a tradition now in Greater Pollok and surrounding areas as we are extending and bringing lots of joy to young children who look forward to them. Help us make these events a bit more special

Thank you.

Thank you Brian for bringing along a donation of Easter eggs and staying to help out on the day to reach Greater Pollok and beyond. It's a shift getting around the whole area with a small team but you made it easier by helping us, it was a great day for the team and families. Thank you 🐇🐣🐰

Wee Tait Entertainment
The float has made this event so much more exciting, its a great feature and the kids love it, so do we 😏! Steven is such a great sport and nothing is too much bother for him. He puts up with all our characters demands and antics and even takes himself away to chat to families and make sure no one is left out. Thank you so much 🐇🐣🐰👏
