I want to raise as much money as I possibly can to help other cancer patients going through the same life changing diagnosis of any cancer and to be a step closer to finding cures. I have Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma which is a rare cancer with no cure as of yet. I had to go for an operation at the end of January 2017 as my cancer was just millimetres away from the underside of my brain. The operation
meant that the surgeons had to go through my mouth to take it out. I lost the upper right half of my jaw, most of my palate, most of my hearing in my right ear, my smell and my taste. The operation was successful. I had to adjust to a different way of living but I got there! But in July 2019 I got told the my cancer had returned, this time in my lungs. They couldn't cut it out this time. There is no clinical trials on offer, I have tried chemotherapy which shrank some of it slightly but it doesn't really have an effect with my type of cancer. I am at a loss, I am running out of time but after thinking about it, I thought "Ain't we all?" I'm not going to lie, I have days where it shatters me inside and turns me into a blubbering mess but there are days when I see how much I've been through and see myself as a phoenix. So I decided to make this page to raise money for other cancer patients and families going through this life changing, devastating disease in the hope that one day, there might be a cure. At least they will be a step closer, with your help. I will be raising money for the following 5 charities...
