Pudz Animal Sanctuary is named after a very special cat called Pudding, who I rescued in 1993, he inspired me to rescue many more animals until we really needed financial help, and so set up the sanctuary. Pudding died in 2010, age 17, but his memory will live on, and because of him, countless more animals have been helped.

I promised you an update on beautiful Blue, and here it is! There is a reason I've waited 2 weeks to update.
On Wednesday 12th August I arranged to pick Blue up from his home in Lincoln and drive him to his new home.
On the day, I was so tired, and skint, it was boiling hot and my car has no AC. I really was not in the mood. I had to do it though, Blue was counting on me.
I'm well known for my impulsivity and taking a risk, and I was about to do it again.
I was taking Blue directly from his current home to a foster who was interested in adopting. I had received lots of messages enquiring about Blue. Most, I disregarded as they clearly hadn't read the stipulations on my post, some were much too far away, a few were possibilities.
Christine, however was the first person to message me. Straight away I was excited. They have 6 acres, a beach on their doorstep, and 3 small dogs already.
I was making this journey, with no back up plan, knowing if it didn't work out Blue was coming back with me. I picked Blue up and he was very excited. I'm not going to judge but he was going from quite a sad situation to an absolute dream. On the car journey, Blue was so good, he sat in the back, looking out of the window. I spoke softly to him, telling him he needs to be a really good boy, that his life was going to get so much better. He listened, cocking his head slightly, taking it all in. At one point his little paw reached through to the front and he patted my arm, before slowly sitting back. I fell in love with him on that journey, short as it was. He was so sweet, placid, his beautiful blue eyes full of wonder and excitement, still puppy like in his demeanor, but such a good boy.
Christine and Karl were eagerly awaiting my arrival and we wanted to take our time and do everything properly. They led me in to their back garden, where I was offered a cold drink, which I gratefully sipped while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
What a stunning place, and I could only hope it would work out. The garden was big, with a vegetable garden, stables, a little orchard and acres of land beyond the fence, home to a horse, a cute donkey and chickens. I was in my element. Beyond the 6 acres is a beach. It was amazing!
We quietly sat in the garden and chatted. Blue was on a long lead and we let him decompress and explore for a while. Next, we introduced Blue to their other dogs, one at a time, so not to overwhelm him. Starting with the male Yorkie, Herbert. Everything went great. Next, Herbert's sister, another Yorkie Clementine. Again they were fine, and lastly Minnie, a small Lurcher cross female dog. Christine and Karl thought she might be nervous but they were fine! There were no problems. Then we let them all play together. It almost went too well. We wanted to be realistic though,
so we agreed we would give it a 2 week trial. If for any reason it didn't work out Blue would return to me.
I left, happy and hoping it would work out.
The first update after a few days was promising with beautiful photos, but I didn't want to get ahead of myself. The second update they asked if they could get Blue neutered. We had already discussed this and the cost was coming off the adoption fee. Of course, I said yes, and that has been done. I dared to get my hopes up. The third and final update was they had fallen in love with Blue, and very much wanted him to be part of their family! So it's now official! Blue's life has been transformed, and the pictures below show that. What a success story. Lovely Blue, he deserves the world, and I couldn't be happier

Thank you so much to Sally at Taylor Made Food for her very generous donation of £225 from her recent fundraiser which helped 4 charities! It's always so gratefully received. I've sampled her menu a few times and it's honestly the best food. Thank you so much

Meet Dexter and Rusty!

These 2 cuties arrived separately and they are around 2 weeks apart in age. When Rusty arrived, Dexter had just come off heat and gone outside. When Rusty came off heat and went outside, they became best friends. I'm not sure of their sexes yet, I think one of each, but they definitely love each other anyway. Love is love ❤️

Meet Miller!
What a handsome boy he is.
Miller is tagged and arrived in someone's garden. After looking up the ring details we found out he is 12 years old!
However, the phone number wouldn't connect. Miller is safely at Pudz. Sadly, for whatever reason, he is not flying, although he is eating and drinking well. I will take him for a check up, as I think he may have an infection
