After 4 years collecting donations on behalf of the East Yorkshire Food Bank, Andy and I have reluctantly decided to step back due to personal commitments. We started doing this at the beginning of the second lockdown and we were overwhelmed by people’s generosity. Thank you to everyone who has supported the cause. None of this would have been possible without the help of Pass the Parcel, Costcutters and Budgens who very kindly agreed at the outset to be donation hubs. We are delighted that all 3 shops have confirmed that they want to continue and we are extremely grateful for their sustained and enthusiastic support.
And this weekend, after a leaflet drop in appalling weather last Saturday, volunteers from South Cave Juniors FC will be going around the local villages collecting food and toiletry items that will make such a difference to adults and children who find themselves in great need at the moment. We have a GREAT community spirit so let’s do them proud!
