Sweeney Toddlers Playgroup
Sweeney Toddlers Parent & Child Playgroup was set up by Viv Sweeney when the local Children’s Centre sessions ceased in 2018. The first session was held on Tuesday 4th September 2018.
Now running every Tuesday and Friday morning in term time at The Old School Community Centre in South Brent. The playgroup is a social, interactive and safe place for parents and children of pre-school age (from birth) to chat, relax and spend time with their youngsters. The 2 hour sessions offer free play, organised activities, music, craft and story-telling and run from 10am until 12noon and are only £3 per family, which includes a hot drink for the adult.
We also visit a local care home some weeks instead of our usual play session, giving an opportunity for the residents, parents and children to interact and have fun together. These sessions are free and have proved to be very popular and beneficial to all. Dates will be posted once confirmed.
