Yesterday we said goodbye to George's Windmills' No. 1 supporter - Hayley's Grandad (and George's great-Grandad) Les.

It was a very poignant day giving Grandad the send-off he deserved and, in the process, our family and friends chose to donate to George's Windmills in Grandad's memory. We're pleased to say that together we raised an astounding £750. Grandad would be so thrilled!

It was very rare you'd see Grandad without his George's Windmills hat, pin and fleece and he would tell anyone who would listen, friends and strangers alike, all about us. He was so proud of his great-grandson's charity and we will miss him so incredibly much.

Grandad - you were and will always be our very own legend. Love you forever and ever and, if there is a life after death, I hope you're playing football with George and teaching him your mischievous ways.

Last Friday we had yet another successful golf day in memory of George and we raised a fantastic amount of money. The sun was shining until the last hour or so when our poor golfers got absolutely drenched. But it didn’t dampen the day! Congratulations to our winner Andy Hampton! All the piccies will be up on our website soon 💙🩵💙🩵

Thank you so very much to everyone who came and made the day, yet again, so special. See you at the next one!

Last week, we were thrilled to once again be invited along to an incredible afternoon tea at Langdon Hills Golf & Country Club hosted by West & Coe. Sadly, Hayley couldn’t make it this year but Allan and Linda (Hayley’s folks) graciously stepped in…nothing to do with the free cakes we promise!

West & Coe raised an incredible amount through their annual golf day and we were just one of the many local charities benefiting from their incredible efforts. We always enjoy hearing from representatives of other local charities at the event and learning about the incredible work that they all do.

West & Coe donated a fantastic £1,000 to George's Windmills and we couldn't be happier.

Thank you as always West & Coe Funeral Directors for spoiling us and being so wonderfully kind.
