Our ethos at Renewal Open Gate is to provide encouragement, empathy, mentoring and real life practical guidance to those who are either in recovery or are on the road to recovery from addictions to substances and gambling. Family who do or have lived with those living with an addiction are also welcome to attend. We believe that often the people best placed to help those with an addiction are thos
e who have lived with and recovered from an addiction themselves. Therefore we actively create an environment for peer to peer mentoring, encouraging our members to share their experiences, opinions and tips with each other. We are a support group not a therapeutic or treatment service. Renewal Open Gate is part of the Social Action department of Renewal. We believe everyone can find their place at Renewal. The church has a rich history spanning over 40 years, and today is home to thousands of people from across the Midlands. We are a dynamic, family church with people of all ages and from all walks of life making up the fabric of Renewal. Our love of Jesus and the passion He has for people to live purposeful, fulfilled lives has motivated us to use our expertise to facilitate people with addictions to achieve and maintain their recovery through Renewal Open Gate. We believe in Jesus but there is no expectation that members have to too.
