We’ve been super busy in Beavers and Cubs over the last few weeks!
World book day, meeting stick insects, rainbow fruit skewers, team building and lots of show and tells and discussions for badges!

Scouts completed their Emergency Aid Level 2 badge on Monday looking at bleeds and burns

Last week Cubs set up and put the Millipede in its new enclosure and met a new friend, Leppy the leopard gecko, thanks to an amazing young Cubs show and tell, as we work toward the Animal Carer Badge
Also making Welsh Dolls for St David’s Day

Axe throwing, archery and the catapult range are available for children aged 8+.

We will also be running free, drop-in activities suitable for all ages, so even younger explorers can get involved, have some fun and earn their first Scout badge!

No need to worry about the weather, since all activities will take place indoors on Jubilee Walk, next to the Information Desk.
Please note: children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

On Tuesday the Beavers and Cubs celebrated and learnt about The Chinese New Year.
We learnt about the zodiacs, found out our own animals, tried different Chinese food and read a book called ‘The Year of the Horse’

Don’t forget it’s half term this week so we are not in on 17th February, but we will be back 24th February 😊

Some great practice, the first for most the group at Scouts this week

Last week saw Beavers read Tiddler the story of a fish whose tales helped him home and make their own paper fish to race ‘flying fish’!
Cubs read We Are Aliens, learnt about their new pet and created posters to promote scouting.
Whilst Scouts learned fire lighting techniques and different types of kindling.
