The 73rd Birmingham Boys' Brigade Company has been serving the local community for over 75 years. We are a uniformed organisation that follows the Christian faith, but we also welcome members of other religious backgrounds. We have a varied and inclusive programme, which also includes the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. We look to encourage all members to take part in as many activities as they are able to, as we feel the more you do, the more you get back. Our programme and organisation offers our members the chance and opportunities to do activities that they may not get to do outside of the Boys' Brigade.
In the 73rd we have a number of long-serving staff members, most of which have come through the ranks themselves and the longest serving being more than 60 years. With a combination of both older and younger staff members, we are able to maintain the Boys' Brigade values as they stood over a century ago, whilst ensuring we also try new things and keep with the modern times.
We accept any boys aged between 4 and 18. See below breakdown of age groups into sections: Anchor Boys 4-8 years old - Wednesday 18:00 - 19.10 Juniors 8-11 years old - Wednesday 18:00 - 19.30 Company 11-15 years old - Wednesday 19:45- 21:15 Seniors 15-18 years old - Wednesday 19:45 - 21:15
