Cranstoun Sandwell Cranstoun Sandwell provides adult drug and alcohol treatment services in Sandwell. We inspire & empower people to live healthier & safer lives.

Cranstoun Sandwell is the adult alcohol and drug service for the borough. We provide vital support to alcohol and drug users and their friends and families, helping people to change their lives, help them to realise their potential and give them a fresh start. We provide:

• Comprehensive Assessment for clients
• Needle exchange at Alberta Building and local pharmacies, for intravenous drug users (including steroid and performance enhancing drug users)
• Access to prescribing services from Alberta Building and local GP surgeries
• Community-based detox for opiates and alcohol
• Health checks for clients
• Brief Interventions for those starting treatment
• Group Work
• Talking Therapies
• Family Therapy
• Acupuncture
• Mindfulness Workshops
• Drop in
• Dual Diagnosis treatment (for clients with drug/alcohol problems and mental health problems)
• Outreach Service

“Women need somewhere they can feel comfortable, safe and understood.” That’s at the heart of WiSE Sandwell.

As Beth explains in our latest feature, accessing support can feel difficult for women who have experienced trauma, particularly in environments where they may not feel safe or at ease.

WiSE offers women a dedicated space to access substance use support with a female key worker, alongside walking groups, peer support and links to other services across Sandwell.

We’re proud of what Beth and the team are building, and the difference WiSE is making for women in our community.

How do I access IPS? 👀

Support can include:

💜 Finding jobs that match your preferences
💜 Exploring suitable opportunities
💜 Liaising with employers, with your consent

PLUS 1 Programme is coming to WiSE 💗
The programme offers an opportunity to learn, connect and access support in a welcoming and supportive environment.

We’re pleased to share that the PLUS 1 Programme, delivered by Ranjit from Kaleidoscope, will be taking place at the WiSE Hub 📍

The programme starts on Friday 23rd October, running from 12pm to 2pm, and will continue until 22nd January.
