🌻 Learning Disability Week 🌻
At Heathrow Special Needs Centre, we see every day how powerful the connection between people and animals can be.
Our farm provides a safe, welcoming environment where individuals with learning disabilities can build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences through caring for animals. Whether it’s feeding the alpacas, collecting eggs from the chickens, grooming our animals, or simply spending time in nature, these interactions can be incredibly therapeutic.
Animals offer companionship without judgement, help reduce anxiety, encourage communication, and create opportunities for learning and personal growth. For many of the people we support, the farm is a place where they can thrive and feel valued.
This Learning Disability Week, we’re celebrating the strengths, talents, and achievements of people with learning disabilities and recognising the importance of inclusive spaces where everyone can flourish.
