Jean Tyler née Ireland - SHS 1950 - 1956
I am very sorry indeed to have to announce the sad passing of our former Chair, Jean Tyler. Jean was a towering presence in the history of our schools and of the Association. It's not an exaggeration to say that but for the tireless work she and her fellow High School alumni devoted it is entirely possible the Association may have ceased to exist. I know she will be missed by many generations of Old Paludians and we send our sympathy and deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Message from Gerard Tyler
Jean sadly died on Wednesday 29th January at Kingfisher Nursing Home in Bourne End. She was comfortable and peaceful at the end. She had a long and fulfilled life. The family thank you for the kind messages that we have received.
We now have details of her commemoration service.
It will be held at Slough Crematorium, Stoke Road, Slough SL2 5AX at 2.30pm, on Thursday 13th February
Afterwards we invite you to join us for refreshments at Stoke Place Hotel.
For those unable to attend, we are arranging to live stream the service. You can use the link and passwords below to watch live and a recording will be available after a day or two, using the same login details.
We request no flowers.

For many years Jean, as part of the local Soroptimists branch, helped the Slough Homeless Charity called SHOC. If you would like to make a donation to the charity in Jean’s name, you can do so via the muchloved website.
