If the heat is too much, find a cool space...

If the heat is too much and you have no way of staying cool, we have opened up a number of cool spaces where there is air conditioning, water and seating.
Open from 10am to 6pm today (Wednesday) and tomorrow.

Please take care of yourselves and use these spaces if you need.

Tips to keep cool

Are you surviving? 🥵

I like it hot but only if I'm chilled out next to a swimming pool on holiday with a good book and my feet up! Can you believe I don't even have a fan at home.

A few ideas for keeping cool and would love to know if you have any top tips

❄️Make your own ice lollies - they're cheaper, healthier than the ones loaded with added sugar and taste so good. These ones were just some mango and tinned pineapple whizzed up and then a little Greek yoghurt swirled through to make them feel posh.

❄️Half fill water bottles the night before & freeze then top up with water the next morning before taking to school.

❄️Keep the curtains closed during the day especially ones that get the direct sun.

❄️Run cold water over your wrists (think they might be called pulse points or something like that), helps to cool you down.

❄️Splash pads are great but they're usually in the full blaze of the sun. It's noticeably cooler in the shade so an amble head to the woods if you need out.

❄️ I'm trying to find all the indoor play places with air con. I know Yarnton Magic Garden and Little Ferns Play Cafe do but checking on the others so keep an eye out for updates on that.
