A message from His Majesty The King to mark the inaugural National Cadets Week.

A huge thank you and well done to all cadets, staff, volunteers and supporters for everything they do throughout the year. This week provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our organisations, recognise the achievements of our cadets, and highlight the incredible contribution of everyone who supports the Cadet Forces.

Congratulations to the newest Officers in Eastern Area! ⚓

A very warm congratulations to Sub-Lieutenant Robert Laughlin of Keighley Sea Cadets and Sub-Lieutenant Alistair Rigg of Luton Sea Cadets, who have both successfully completed the challenging second stage of the Officer Selection Process at HMS Raleigh.

Their achievement is a testament to their commitment, determination and hard work throughout the selection process.

If you are thinking of purchasing a new Trinity 500 to help with boating numbers for next year this is just to let you know that 13 of the 20 MSSC need to order a new batch are already allocated. Just send an e mail to [email protected] (It says out of stock on the sea cadet shop website.) They are £6600 each.

Are you passionate about listening to young people and helping them shape their Sea Cadet experience?
We’re looking for an Assistant Area Staff Officer (Cadet Voice) to support cadet‑led decision‑making across the Area, champion youth voice, and help develop meaningful forums where cadets can be heard.
✅ Champion Cadet Voice
✅ Support area‑wide meetings and cadet forums
✅ Work with volunteers and cadets to make real change
