Are you passionate about listening to young people and helping them shape their Sea Cadet experience?
We’re looking for an Assistant Area Staff Officer (Cadet Voice) to support cadet‑led decision‑making across the Area, champion youth voice, and help develop meaningful forums where cadets can be heard.

✅ Work with volunteers and cadets to make real change

📢 **Mandatory Training Update** 📢

✅ A big **thank you** to everyone who has already completed their mandatory training on time — we really appreciate it!

⏰ If you have **not yet completed BOTH** of the following courses:

• **Equity, Diversity & Inclusion**

⚠️ Please note that **30 April 2026 is the FINAL deadline**.
This deadline **will not be extended**, and anyone who has not completed *both* courses by this date will be **struck off strength**.

🍊 An incredible weekend for Eastern Area at the National Drill and Piping Competition, held at HMS Raleigh. Cadets from across the UK demonstrated outstanding skill and professionalism, with the event attended by the Corps President, Admiral Sir Philip Andrew Jones.

Eastern Area delivered an impressive performance, including first place finishes for Scarborough (Continuity Drill), Chesterfield (Royal Marines Cadets Drill Display), Scunthorpe (Team Piping), and Cdt Sgt Pierlot, who secured Individual Piper for the third consecutive year! POC Campbell secured second place as unarmed best squad commander, and Lincoln also brought home the silver medals for best unarmed drill display.

These successes reflect the incredible dedication of the cadets, staff, and supporters, without whom it would not be possible. BZ team orange! 🍊

This weekend, nine Petty Officers attended the Eastern Area Chief Petty Officer and Colour Sergeants Promotion Board at RAF Wittering.

All candidates displayed the standards and behaviour expected to pass for promotion. Our congratulations go to:

We have been asked to share the very sad news of the passing of PO Kevin Canwell on behalf of Immingham Unit. Please check their page for updates on funeral arrangements. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones, but also for his Sea Cadet family at Immingham Sea Cadets and beyond.
