Whilst most of the gardeners were on their Old World Duty, I took my Americans over to Black Dragon Miniatures in Hinkley for a lovely 1 day tournament. The tables were packed with scenery which was great to see, really making you think if lines of sight etc. First up was kill points against a British gun line. Fortunately the table allowed me to head down the other side to claim a narrow 5-1 win. Second was a home mission, 5 objectives, each with their own value. French were the opponent which I managed to whittle down for the win. Finally was Sectors against a very similar US army. Our meatchoppers failed to score the results for both sides and in the end a last minute jeep and officer going up in smoke allowed a draw. Great days gaming at a great venue.
