We are very privileged to be asked to speak to Gaby Roslin on her BBC Radio ‘The Make a Difference Show ‘….this coming Sunday around 5.30pm.

The show is broadcast live across the country between 2pm-6pm and can be accessed through your local BBC Radio network or on BBC sounds.

Raising awareness of Young sudden cardiac death, the fantastic work being undertaken by Cardiac Risk in the Young…..and the amazing fundraising taking place across the country to provide cardiac screening for young people ❤️

Many thanks to everyone who attended last night and donated to a wonderful evening…..we loved the traditional Indian costumes 😊😊….and to the staff at The Raj who worked flat out to provide us an excellent Indian meal😋😋

“She really was just a beautiful person inside and out.”

Anja was 19 years old when she died in her sleep from an undiagnosed heart condition. Just six weeks after her passing, her parents, Carly and Kev, found out about the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and decided they wanted to do something to give back to their local community.

What started as a small fund to screen one event became a black tie ball, quizzes, with people running marathons, all to raise money to help young people access cardiac screening.

They’ve now raised over £70,000 and Carly said: “We just want to screen as many people as possible.”

The pair have been nominated for a BBC Radio Leeds Make A Difference award in recognition of their fundraising efforts.
