W Bro. Mike Gibbins of Colne Valley Lodge 1645 hosted the annual Christmas dinner held at the Grapollo restaurant in Huddersfield yesterday.

Over 80 people attended and were served a full Christmas lunch which was absolutely delicious and enjoyed by all present.

Father Christmas visited the gathering to give all our little guests their presents.

The Golcar brass band entertained everyone with classic Christmas songs as the diners joined in.

The raffle raised £400.00 which will be donated to the Rob Burrow Centre in Leeds.

Last night was the installation of WB Mike Gibbins of the Colne Valley Lodge 1645 in Slaithwate he was installed in the chair of King Solomon by WB Adrian Ploughman and assisted by WB Chris Connolly the installing director of ceremonies.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the personal representative of the provincial grand Master of Yorkshire West Riding WB Dr Craig L. Johnson Grand Communications officer.

Bro Graham Robin was installed as Senior Warden and Bro Howard Copley was installed as Junior Warden.

The installation ceremony was super and the junior brethren excelled in performing part of the ritual.

Everyone enjoyed the festive board and the speeches were well received by all present.

A truly memorable day.

The past masters of Colne Valley Lodge proved they still have what it takes, raising Bro Dominic Jason Mitchell to the sublime degree of a master mason.

They were supported by Brothers, Copley and Wood who delivered some excellent ritual during the ceremony.

A wonderful night was had by all the brethren present and a superb festive board to boot.

On the13th of August Colne Valley Lodge had the pleasure of initiating brother Luke Wolstenholme.

We were pleased to welcome the members of Mexborough lodge on their fraternal visit along visitors from other lodges providing an attendance in excess of 80 brethren!

We had the pleasure of welcoming four past assistant APGM’S.
W Bro Alan Elstone, W Bro Colin Dent, W Bro Robert Cole, W Bro John Gledhill.

Four charity certificates for the zip wire challenge were given to.

Last night at our April meeting, the Brethren at Colne Valley Lodge 1645 were proud to initiate and welcome into Freemasonry our newly obligated Brother - David Stokes. The Lodge was full with a fantastic turnout of members and visitors to welcome Bro Stokes into our order. The ceremony was fantastically performed by the officers of the Lodge and the Festive Board was very well received.

Next month is a double second! It does not stop at CVL1645, we work hard on our ritual, our fun times and our charity.

We look forward to welcoming old friends and new at our next meeting!!

Last night at Colne Valley Lodge 1645 it was my greatest pleasure to raise Bro Barry Hughes to the sublime degree of a Master Mason. The support from fellow officers within the lodge as well as members (and a high ranking Grand Officer who kindly assisted) that took part in the ceremony was fantastic. As usual we were well attended and the festive board was excellent. Next month is an initiation to welcome a new member to Masonic fraternity.
